Moore Phone Meeting 25/03/04 |
Participants: Andrea, Gabriella, Margherita, Michela, Stefania, Stephane, Nectarios, Diana, Elena, Edoardo, Giorgos, Alan, Ada, Natasha, Steve. 1- Moore status after units
migration: (Nectarios) pT=6GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003107 40000 events pT=20GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003100 40000 events pT=100GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003101 40000 events pT=200GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003102 40000 events pT=300GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003103 40000 events pT=500GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003104 40000 events pT=1000GeV /castor/cern.ch/atlas/transfer/dc1/roma1/003105 20000 events The corresponding validation plots are: - g3moore780_trackanal.ps which contains resolutions and efficiencies plots - g3moore780_effeta.ps (for |eta|>2 csc digitization problem?) - g3moore780_effphi.ps efficiency versus phi - g3moore780_effpt.ps efficiency versus pt point.(there is a type mistake in the plot |eta|<2.7) A "Moore performance" webpage will be setup. The present status shows an agreement between the results obtained by Moore before the units migration and the ones after the units migration. 2- MuID status after units migration: (Michela, Monica, Natasha) Michela reports on the status. Monica has tested a small set of single muons at 6 GeV and 100 GeV (first test) on a nightly: eff_8.0.0.eps (6GeV) eff_8.0.01.eps (100GeV) From these plots was evident that there was a problem related to low Pt files (see eff_8.0.0.eps). The problem has been solved and the bug fix has been committed. The same plots for the 6 GeV file running from a nightly after the bug fix: eff_8.new.eps (6GeV) shows that there is a nice agreement between the results now and the results before the units migration. All the fixes have been collected for release 8.0.0. Moreover in the Inner Detector: the memory leak problem that was present has been solved. And between 7.8.0 and 8.0.0 the problem on TRT that was present since very long time has been solved. 3- Moore/MuID after release 8.0.0 - Plans for the future: -- In MuID the new code for low Pt muons will come in (Natasha). This will be introduced as a new Algorithm avoiding the conflicts with pre-existing code. -- A partial migration from the track fitter code is ready to start. -- Moore-G4 Test beam. A jobOptions allowing to generate simulated hits, digitize and reconstruct on fly is available under MuonDigiExample. It has been tested under AtlasG4Sim environment --An Example on how to run G4 data under MuIDExample for Moore and MuID will soon be provided. Based on this Example, a script will be elaborated in order to run on the nightlies with small statistic (100 events?). --The existing Moore code uses the Detector Description geometrical rapresentation. Starting from release 8.0.0 we will migrate to the MuonGeoModel (for the first time the 2 representation will both be present. 4- Wider range issues: -Common track- Report from the first meeting. - Giorgos shortly
summarized from the A tentative date for next phone meeting has been set: April 15th: 17:00 GVA time.
